Dry100 compared with the free apps
Sobers, Nomo and I Am Sober are free or have a free core, and they've helped a lot of people. We built Dry100 knowing that. This is a plain look at where it differs, and where it doesn't.
Based on their public store listings and project pages, read on 25 October 2026. We haven't audited their apps, so check before you decide. Tell us if anything is out of date.

Choose them if
- You want a native app with push notifications. We use email for reminders, because web push on iPhones is unreliable.
- You want a large community to talk to. We have none on purpose.
- You work a 12-step program and want daily readings and step tools (Sobers has them).
- You want everything free. Our free plan has one supporter link; the rest is Pro.
Choose Dry100 if
- The people supporting you won't install an app or make an account, and a link is all they'll do.
- You want to decide what each person sees, and never be reported on when you restart.
- You want a counter that works in the browser with no sign-up, and a record that treats restarts as part of the story.
- You don't want ads, a feed or strangers.
None of this is a claim that Dry100 is better. It's narrower, and it suits some people more.
